Museo Nicolis
There are aircraft on the roof, and inside, classic cars, motorbikes, cameras and typewriters from across the 20th century.
Classic cars shown in rotation, motorbikes, bicycles, small aircraft, cameras, typewriters and Formula 1 steering wheels fill the Museo Nicolis, a private museum in Villafranca di Verona, near Verona's airport. Our ticket covers every exhibition.

Getting to the Museo Nicolis from Verona
Without a car, the ride out is an ATV bus from Porta Nuova, Verona’s main station: lines 157, 158 and 159 go to Villafranca, and the stop you want is called Museo Nicolis. A taxi also works, and from the airport the museum is only about 3 kilometres away.
By car, the nearest motorway exit is Sommacampagna on the A4, 7 kilometres away. Verona Sud, on the same motorway, is 17 kilometres off, and Verona Nord on the A22 is 13.
Museo Nicolis tickets
Our ticket, at €14, gets you into the museum and all its exhibitions, though not into special events or workshops. Young people from 11 to 16 and over-60s pay €12, children from 6 to 10 pay €6, and children up to 5 go in free with an adult. When you book, pick a Saturday or a Sunday; for the extra opening days, see which dates the booking calendar offers. You can cancel free of charge up to the day of your visit.
The VeronaCard at the Museo Nicolis: a reduction, not an entry
The VeronaCard doesn’t include the Museo Nicolis; it gives a reduced entry, and the museum doesn’t publish how much. The card’s buses are Verona’s city network, and lines 157 to 159 run out into the province, so don’t count on the card for the ride out.
Inside the Museo Nicolis: cars, motorbikes and the machines of the 20th century
The building, glass and aluminium with aircraft on the roof, holds a private collection that, in the museum’s words, tells the story of 20th-century technology and design. It has more than 200 cars, and 91 are on show at a time, in rotation.
Around them are motorbikes, bicycles and three small aircraft, and then the side collections: cameras, typewriters, musical instruments, engines, and more than a hundred steering wheels from Formula 1 and sports cars. A military section keeps mementoes of the two world wars.
Visiting the Museo Nicolis: the free tour, the lift and the terrace
On Saturdays and Sundays a free guided tour in Italian starts at 15:30; tours in English or German are only for booked groups, at a charge. A lift serves every floor, with toilets on each, accessible on all but the third, and on the second floor a bar opens onto a panoramic terrace. Photos for your own use are fine, but food and drink aren’t allowed inside; the cloakroom is unattended, and pets can come on a lead.
